Austin Willis
Born and raised in California, Austin Willis brings a well-rounded perspective to sports performance coaching, blending technical expertise with a deep understanding of athlete psychology. Now based in New Jersey for the past eight years, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oregon State University and is currently earning his Master’s in Kinesiology with a focus on Sports Performance at Montclair State University.
As a certified USATF Level 1 coach and current jumps coach at Montclair High School, Austin has guided athletes to success at the state and national levels. While his background is rooted in track and field, the principles he teaches —efficient movement, mental resilience, and athlete-led growth; apply across all sports. He helps athletes connect the dots between mechanics, mindset, and confidence, which translates to better performance in any competitive environment, whether that be sports or career paths.
Austin’s coaching style is intentional and individual-centered. Whether he’s refining sprint mechanics, resolving movement inefficiencies, or helping someone navigate pressure, his focus is on long-term development, not just short-term fixes. At the heart of Austin’s philosophy is the belief that performance coaching is about more than physical output; it’s about building strong, capable, and confident individuals who are prepared to meet any challenge, in sport and life.
